Reflection questions:

1. What was the purpose behind the question about who the hypothetical woman would be married to in the resurrection?
2. How did Jesus refute the idea behind the question? What does it mean for you to know there is a resurrection from the dead?
3. How did the man who asked Jesus about which commandment was greatest differ from those who usually questioned Jesus?
4. Even these two simple commandments are beyond us to obey. Is God leading you to be different in some way because of these commandments? Ask him to help you more fully obey these and thank him for the grace we have in Jesus so that we aren’t dependent on how well we obey the law for our salvation.
