Reflection questions:

1. Why did Jesus ask the disciples what they were talking about when he already knew? When have you taken time to listen to what Jesus wants to bring to your attention?
2. It seems to be a pitfall down through the ages for Christians to compete for recognition and position within the church. How would Jesus have us approach this?
3. Why is it important to receive children and others in lowly positions?
4. Think about the ramifications of Jesus declaring anyone not against him is for him. How about someone who says it’s Ok if you want to follow Jesus, I’m not opposed to that, but it’s not for me. Is that person for Jesus? Why or why not?
