This Sunday's message: The Song of Zechariah

Leadership

Our Leadership Team

THE NEW TESTAMENT MODEL
The New Testament model for church leadership is a group of godly men who oversee the church and its spiritual development. These men were called elders, overseers and pastor/shepherds – all three terms refer to the same leadership position. While one or more of the elders often were primarily responsible for the preaching and teaching, all the elders had equal authority when it came to making decisions about the church.

THE THORNYDALE FAMILY CHURCH MODEL
At TFC we are committed to following this Biblical model of leadership. Our Elders seek God’s direction for our body as a group, so therefore, they operate on the basis of consensus, rather than majority rule.

The church meets as a body to approve the annual church budget and vote on other matters as required by our Constitution and Bylaws
