Reflection questions:

1. How does the healing of the blind man show we can’t put God in a box and think we have just the right way to get him to do what we want?
2. Note how Peter got the important truth right, but followed it up with urging Jesus to turn from God’s path for him. Have there been times that you gave people the wrong advice? If so, ask God’s forgiveness.
3. What does it mean to take up our cross and follow Jesus? When have you found following Jesus hard? Pray for those who literally have to be ready to die for Jesus, that they will stay true to him, and that God will deliver them according to his will.
