Today's Reading: Psalm 90:1-17
Read the passage and answer these two questions:
My observations from Psalm 86:
There are a number of attributes of God that are present in this Psalm: His forgiving nature, His grace, His mercy, and His greatness. But even though the word "holy" doesn't appear in this Psalm the concept is certainly seen in verse 8 when the Psalmist proclaims that there is none like God.
I love what A.W. Tozer writes about God's holiness in Knowledge of the Holy:
God's holiness is not simply the best we know infinitely bettered...Holy is the way God is. He does not conform to a standard. He is that standard.
Today, take some time to mediate on God's holiness and what that means for your life.
Read the passage and answer these two questions:
- What doe this passage teach me about God and His attributes?
- How should that understanding about the nature of God impact the way that I live my life?
