Today's Reading: Psalm 73:1-28
Read the passage and answer these two questions:
My observations from Psalm 66:
We see many attributes of God in this Psalm but the one that strikes me is His power. Not only did He create the entire world but He continues to exercise His authority over His creation. When the Israelites came to the Red Sea while being pursued by the Egyptians, God caused the sea to part so the Israelites could pass through on dry land.
However, as we see here, while God promises to go through trials with His people, He does not always spare them from those difficulties. As Jesus said (John 16:33) we should expect tribulation in this world but we can have confidence that God is with us and that Jesus has already gained victory over the forces of this world. Knowing that sustains us regardless of our circumstances.
Read the passage and answer these two questions:
- What doe this passage teach me about God and His attributes?
- How should that understanding about the nature of God impact the way that I live my life?
