Today's Reading: Psalm 40:1-17
Read the passage and answer these two questions:
My observations from Psalm 37:
We clearly see that God is just and righteous in this Psalm. Often, in this world, that may not appear to be the case. We observe wicked people who prosper and good people who suffer. But this Psalm makes it clear that at some point God will make everything right. He will punish the wicked and reward those who have clothed themselves with the righteousness of Jesus.
That means that I am not seek vengeance on my own. I need to wait patiently on god and trust that He will ultimately make things right. I don't do that very well in my own flesh, so I need to ask God to help me demonstrate my trust in Him when I am wronged.
Read the passage and answer these two questions:
- What doe this passage teach me about God and His attributes?
- How should that understanding about the nature of God impact the way that I live my life?
