Today's Reading: Psalm 34:1-22
Read the passage and answer these two questions:
My observations from Psalm 33:
Like almost every Psalm that we've read so far, there are a number of attributes of God present in this Psalm. But what we see here is that many of those attributes flow out of the fact that God is the creator of all. There is also a connection to Psalm 29 that we read yesterday where we saw the phrase "the voice of the Lord" throughout the Psalm. God created everything simply by speaking it into existence. But He doesn't just leave that creation to fend for itself. He sees all of His creation and is sovereign over all that occurs.
As we see the world crumbling around us, we can take comfort in the fact that none of this has taken God by surprise and that His purposes, plans and ways are being advanced even when we might not be able to understand that.
Read the passage and answer these two questions:
- What doe this passage teach me about God and His attributes?
- How should that understanding about the nature of God impact the way that I live my life?
