Today's Reading: Revelation 4:1-11

The description of the four living creatures around the throne bear a lot of similarities to the vision of Ezekiel that we read about in Ezekiel 1. There are also some differences. As I commented previously, those differences are to be expected as both Ezekiel and John are trying to describe in human terms something that is indescribable.

Again, we want to make sure we don't get so bogged down in trying to figure out all the details that we miss the glory of God. One day we will get to join the living creatures and the elders in giving our worship to a God whose glory is magnificent and awe inspiring. Our worship today in this life is helping to get us ready for that day.
