Today's Reading: Joshua 6:1-27

The Lord gives the city of Jericho to the Israelites in a very unique and unusual way. God had never worked this way in the past and He doesn't do it again in the future. A couple thoughts come to mind here:

• Sometimes God calls us to act in ways that don't make any sense to us. That is always an opportunity for us to trust God and obey Him even when we don't understand.
• God doesn't always do things the same way. We see this with Jesus' earthly ministry. He healed a number of blind people, but He did it a different way each time. I think that is because God wants us to focus on Him and not on the method.

Is there something that God is calling you to do that just doesn't make sense to you? Will you trust Him and be obedient?
