Today's Reading: Deuteronomy 2:1-37
While it's easy to get caught up in all the details in this chapter, the overall theme here is the sovereignty of God. God had determined exactly what land He was going to give Israel and which land He had reserved for others, like the descendants of Esau and Lot. And when the people obeyed God, He provided victory over their enemies, just as God had promised.
God is still sovereign over our lives, and, as we have discussed often, when we obey His commands, we find blessing in our lives. Is there any area of you life today where you aren't experiencing God's blessings because of your disobedience? Go ahead and confess that to God and repent.
