Today's reading: Hebrews 7:1-28
The author of Hebrews compares Jesus to Melchizedek, the mysterious priest and king we saw back in Genesis 14. The main idea here is that Jesus is a priest who is more like Melchizedek than the Levitical priests who came after him. This is a complex and somewhat confusing chapter that we covered last year in our study of Hebrews.
