Today's Reading: Job 38:1-41
When Job and his "friends" demonstrate their lack of understanding of the nature of God, God takes Job all the way back to His creation. Using poetical language, God describes His sovereignty in the act of creation. Everything was created exactly as God planned it. Through His creation God provides for the lions and ravens. So the implication is that because man is God's "crown jewel" of creation, just think of how He provides for us.
I'm certainly reminded here of Matthew 6 where Jesus tells His disciples not to worry because God loves His children so much that He will certainly provide for their needs. As we'll see tomorrow, that includes providing a Savior by sending His own Son to this earth.
Take some time today to thank God for providing for you.
