Today’s Reading: Luke 2:29; Job 19:23-27; Psalm 23:1-6; 2 Timothy 4:6-8

“Well done, good and faithful servant” are words all Christians should want to hear when we depart this earth. Simeon’s life was now complete. He was ready. His duty has been complete with the arrival of the Messiah. This is a good reminder that no matter what we accomplish in our earthly lives, the best thing we could possess is our salvation. Something that we didn’t earn, something that we couldn’t even begin to pay the price for. That is when we know our lives are “complete,” but while we’re still here, He has a purpose for you and I. How can you honor Him today?
