December 11
Today’s Reading: Luke 1:53; Psalm 104:27-30; Mark 8:34-38; Ephesians 3:14-19
Friday, we saw that God is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow. Yesterday we saw that God is sovereign and in control of all things. This morning we are reminded that God provides. There is a contrast here between the hungry and the rich. This illustration is common in the Gospels and the Letters and helps us to understand that we should always be humble to seek God always. The hungry seek God for provision, and the rich already has, so they fail to seek God. At least that is the picture given here. Always remember Who provides and seek to bless others if you are fortunate to have an abundance.
