December 4
Today’s Reading: Luke 1:44; Psalm 98:4-9; Isaiah 35:3-7; Galatians 4:4-7
As we alluded to earlier this week, this season often times is busy and stressful. Here, we see that John leaped for joy in Elizabeth’s womb when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary. Even in utero, John was excited about his upcoming ministry, and mostly about the coming of the Lord. How do you respond in this season? Are you angry about the early decorations? Are you frustrated by the crowded roads and stores? Are you tired of the all the Christmas songs on the radio and stores? When was the last time you leaped for joy when you heard about Jesus? Especially during this season. If you’re anything like me, you haven’t – but may this year be different. Get excited for this season, as it is a time where we get to celebrate the coming of the Lord!
