This Sunday's message: The Song of Zechariah

December 2

Today’s Reading: Luke 1:41-42; Psalm 85:8-9; Proverbs 2:1-6; Ephesians 15:15-21
Elizabeth’s song is full of blessings. Her song is traditionally called the “Beatitude of Elizabeth.” Beatitude is the Latin word for happy. Now, it’s important to note that Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, and it was through her being filled, she was able to proclaim this blessing. It was the Holy Spirit that guided her words, her song. This is a great reminder that even when we are blessed individually or when others are bless, it is because of God’s grace, and we are to let the Holy Spirit guide how we are to respond to that blessing. So, this season, ask the Lord to guide your words so that we too can bless others with our words.
